Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend to students as well as part-time employment. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents aren't the same as those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other routes she could choose. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. However she left before the band went on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox started working with Diva in 1992. It was her first solo album. The album was an enormous hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo was released in the month of October 2014. is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox selected her favorites blues soul tracks from her the time of her childhood. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera an album of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. Her first album, Now I Letting You Go... was released as an accompaniment to her installation of work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
